Reforming a housing society
Governance from the ground up: the reform the Indian Press Union covered.
Housing societies are the smallest unit of self-governance most urban Indians ever touch, and when their governance fails, residents feel it daily. In Ghaziabad, we led and documented a reform of housing-society governance: clearer accountability, better records, more transparent decision-making.
The work was subsequently covered in an authored article carried by the Indian Press Union: third-party recognition that grounded, unglamorous governance work matters.
The lesson we carry forward: reform does not start in parliament; it starts in the stairwell of a residential tower, with residents who insist that rules apply. That conviction runs through everything Nation First does.
