Waste segregation at home
The two-bin habit that fixes half the garbage problem.
The simple system
- Green bin — wet/kitchen waste: peels, leftovers, garden waste. Compostable.
- Blue bin — dry recyclables: paper, plastic, metal, glass — clean and dry.
- Separate pouch — hazardous/sanitary: batteries, medicines, diapers, sharps — handed separately.
Why it matters in Ghaziabad
Mixed waste is why dumps grow and why our Kaushambi–Ghazipur petition exists. Segregation at source is a Swachh Bharat requirement — and the single highest-impact habit a household can adopt. Societies can start with two bins per flat and a wet-waste composter; our volunteers help set this up during Clean & Green drives.
